Office 2003 Proofing Tools are a collection of editing technologies that enable users to proof Office documents in over 50 languages. The tools include spelling and grammar checkers, AutoCorrect lists, AutoSummarize capabilities for Microsoft Word, Input Method Editors (IMEs) for East Asian languages, and more. All the capabilities for proof-reading that come with your native MS Office suite or application made available in a multilingual environment.

Overview

Office 2003 Proofing Tools is available as a license package only for corporations, academic, government and other institutions. The package includes 5-users license and one proofing tools disk kit. Additional licenses can be purchased.
Office 2003 Proofing Tools enables you to proof documents in 50 languages - far more than you can with any localized version of Office 2003.

Features:

• Spelling Checkers identify misspellings in a file. For some languages, inflection-sensitive spell checkers are included that recognize grammatical variations of a word.
• Grammar and Style Checkers correct sentences according to a system of grammatical rules.
• Thesauri allow you to look up synonyms for a particular word.
• AutoCorrect automatically corrects typing and grammatical errors, as well incorrect capitalization.
• Hyphenation lets you connect (as two words) or divide (as a word at the end of a line of print) two or more terms with a hyphen, eliminating blank spaces in justified text, or straightening out columns of text.
• AutoSummarize identifies key points of a document by analyzing it and assigning a score to each sentence.
• Input Method Editors (IME) convert your key strokes into Asian characters. Enter Traditional or Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean into any Office 2003 application, not just into MS Word and Outlook as in previous versions.
• Word breakers for languages that don't use blank spaces to delineate words (Chinese, Japanese).
• Simplified/Traditional Chinese translator converts back and forth between Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
• Additional bilingual dictionaries for 11 languages to look up individual words in the dictionary of a different language.
